What Happened at the August Bash
It was a slightly over cast day on August 21 in Shelton, Washington, which made it perfect for the lampworking demonstrations that took place at the Bash.
There were two separate demonstration areas this year which allowed there to be seven glass demonstrations through out the day. There was one borosilicate demonstration and three striking silver glass demonstrations in the group, which many people were very interested in seeing.

I demonstrated how to make a goldstone ribbon cane with a black line down the middle of the cane, using large pieces of goldstone with CiM/Messy Color “Hades” and Clear. I then made a large two color dichroic bead and showed how I use the ribbon cane.
All in all, it was a great “August Bash” and I hope everyone that came had as much fun as I did.
